BIOGRAPHY

Cosmic Mesa is a high energy string band based in Denver, CO that plays a unique style of original music that can only be called “Cosmic Americana Grass”. Since the group was founded by managing member, Andrew DeCarlo in March of 2014 the band has evolved into a very entertaining arrangement and has been performing up and down the Colorado front range and beyond! Their shows are mystifying and they are a great live band that is continuing to give performances that are packed full of high energy original music and powerhouse talent from every instrument. In addition, the band has already shared the stage with amazing artists such as Trout Steak Revival, Chain Station, White Water Ramble, Gangstagrass, Tyler Grant of Grant Farm, Paul Hoffman of Greensky Bluegrass as well as Andy Hall and Chris Pandolfi of The Infamous Stingdusters and the group has rocked incredible shows for large enthusiastic audiences at great Colorado venues such as Hodi's Half Note, The Swing Station, Cervantes, The Aggie, Ullrs Tavern, State Bridge, and The Mishawaka just to name a few.

From the beginning, Cosmic Mesa has focused on original songwriting and instrumental compositions and the group's musical performances really highlight the progressive singer-songwriting style of guitarist, Andrew DeCarlo. In addition, the group also boasts the exceptional cosmic skills and original compositions of Joey Purmort on banjo, John Stewart on upright bass, Matt Francis on mandolin, Bobby Krech on fiddle as well as Will Carman on drums and percussion. Along with great originals the band also plays a mixture of crazy fiddle tunes, old traditionals, and some choice covers.

Cosmic Mesa is a band worth following and has a progressive and interesting influence amongst the Americana-folk-bluegrass community. So get up on the Cosmic Mesa and enjoy the view as these folks bring new songs and sounds to the scene!
